The Hair Monologues sol therepe giveaway launches March 2
South Orange, NJ-Many women have a love-hate relationship with their hair. With the rise of women sharing information online about the harmful effects of damaging styling techniques and products, some may say that the pendulum has swung toward love. For the month of March, MySalonScoop.com will invite readers to write a "hair monologue" to share their triumphs or frustrations with their hairstyles from the point of view of their hair.
"We wanted to create a fun contest they gave a voice to this inner struggle while empowering women to do better," said V. Woods, CEO of My Salon Scoop. Weekly winners will receive a prize pack including products from sol therepe, a new shea butter skin care line.
Inspired by an old George C. Wolfe play "Hair Piece", the contest allows women to answer the question "if hair could talk, what would it say" about certain hairstyle decisions.
Every Tuesday from March 9th through March 23rd, My Salon Scoop will select the best hair monologue to win. Contest entrants must submit a monologue that is 300 words or less. The contest encourages entrants to upload a photo of their hairstyle or a video reenactment. Winners will be announced on the My Salon Scoop Facebook Page and via email.
