Carol's Uptown Hair Design

AVOID!!!!

I was a client at Carol's uptown for over 6 months. I was referred by a friend. The shop is close to my house and I have a young child at home, so it was convenient for me. On several occasions, I had to wait for over an hour past my appointment to be seen. On a few occasions, she got into shouting matches with clients about personal issues like religion, homosexuality and racial issues, all while clients were waiting. During my last 2 appointments I became unhappy with the results of my haircolor. My hair was a very unnatural pink! When I questioned Carol, she became defensive. A few people commented to me on my haircolor and told me it was unbecoming. I bought it to Carol's attention, and asked her if we could try something different. She became combative and actually yelled at me on the phone and just told me to bring what I wanted her to put in my hair to my next appointment. Once I showed up, I had to wait until after 5 (appointment was for 330) she began to shout at me telling me I was disrespectful and actually told me to shut up! The worst part is that she told me I needed to lose weight as I was leaving her shop, and stuck her middle finger up at me! I have never in my life been personally attacked by any person providing me with any type of service.

I had a 10:30 appointment I was there at 10:30. My hair was washed at 11:30, then I was put under the steamer for 1 hour, then had to wait another hour and 30 min to have the conditioner washed out of my hair. Mind you there was only one person in front of me. Then she wanted me to pay 20 dollars more than she quoted me at the consultation. My hair looked horrible, and to add injury to insult she cut my hair without my permission, and tried to charge me for it. Carol does come off as a nice person, but i will never return.
