Color Me Purple

The salon plaza itself is indeed a zoo, so small, cramped, tight, too loud and just too much going on.... Yelling and screaming and drama everywhere.... First time ever receiving a weave in my entire life and this experience was more than unpleasant. Yulanda bedside manner was uncanny, and unprofessional. As she reached the top of finishing my hair I inquired whether or not I should get a bang or part down the middle of my head, her reply was " IT'S WHATEVER YOU WANT, I DON'T WEAR THIS TYPE OF HAIR I WEAR MY OWN NATURAL HAIR", Now how rude and unhelpful was that statement....? Word to the wise a weave should not take 2 and a half hours, it's very unprofessional for me to sit in your chair while being a paying customer and your on ur cell phone arguing with someone over a bill, ur client should be top priority. None the less that will be the first and last time I visit Yulanda, my weave was very unprofessionally done, looks like a wig sitting on top of my head instead if a full weave, Yulanda does not accommodate you to do readjustments to your liking if u are unsatisfied, she says I will not refund ur money bcuz a service was provided, I never even mentioned anything to her about me wanting a refund. I also left to visit another suite across from her to ask the ladies how did my full weave look and they assumed it was a wig on my head, they provided me with the number of someone who could do a much more professional job. Now when another licensed stylist informs you that your full weave looks terrible you kno something is wrong. Word to the wise, please do NOT waste your time nor money going to go visit Yulanda for a weave, u will walk out unsatisfied. Don't waste ur time nor money....

This salon/stylist was recommended to me by a friend. I've never been in the Salon Plaza in Largo and I must say that it is a bit of a zoo. There's just so much going on. Each "shop" is so small. It almost feels cramped. But I guess it is what it is. Yulounda is very nice and gets me in and out quickly. She's earned her spot as my back up stylist since my other stylist has decided to take the next month off (who does that?). Anyway...One thing I really like about her is that you can book appointments online which is very convenient. It sends reminders too!
